I am trying to find a pre 1841 census return in Hampshire for a Henry James
Clark and or a Mary Dormer Cater

Henry (born approx 1792 Eltham Kent)
Mary (born 13 October 1809, baptised 18 May 1826 Saint John church, Portsea
parish).

Henry and Mary married 11 May 1834 in Saint Mary's Church Portsea parish.,
witnesses Mary Anne Andrew's and George Andrews.

The marriage license says Henry was a battler of the county and Mary a
spinster of the county.

I have the 1841 census where the family had moved to Shoreham West Sussex.

In the 1841 census Henry's occupation was "Clerk to the Customs".
