I hope to be approaching a breakthrough!

Eliza CORKE Marriage Index 1838 Q4 Isle of Wight Vol 8 page 351 maybe
married a William MITCHELL.

He could have then died Q4 1840 Isle of Wight Vol 8 page 144.

She, as Eliza MITCHELL, could have married Henry TANNER in 1846 Q3
Southampton Vol 7 page 277.

I would really appreciate knowing if the above marriage's work through? And
who the witnesses at the weddings were.

The children of her second marriage, to Henry TANNER were:

Ann Corke TANNER Q1 1848

Helen Corke TANNER Abt 1853

Elizabeth TANNER Abt 1885

Sarah Force TANNER Q1 1857

Harriet Corke TANNER Q1 1860

James Corke TANNER Q2 1861

All born in Southampton. So that looks promising. (Not sure how and why the
middle name, FORCE crept in)?



I would normally send for the marriage certs but since the GRO have changed
their International mailing partners, the extended delays are really very
frustrating.

My next visit to the HRO will not be until mid September - which seems ages
away!

Can some kind soul please assist?
