Hello Maureen Robinson,
Your request for information on Kenderchurch aroused my interest, as did
some of your surnames of interest.
My own particular family research also covers SMITH and WILLIAMS.
As far as I can ascertain, Jonas SMITH was a son of William SMITH and
Susannah RATHER. He was born 1755 in KINGTON, Herefordshire. Some of his
descendants married WILLIAMS, but this was after he move to Radnorshire. Parishes of
interest there are Colva, Cregrina, Llanbedr Painscastle, Rhulen. Around
the 1900 mark, Mary SMITH now, WILLIAMS, moved back to Herefordshire. They
lived at aHOWTON COURT. Mary being the sister of my great grandmother. There
arestill descendants there to this day. Another place of interest according to
my late grandmother was PONTRILAS. Another sister became a LLOYD, was
widowed then married a James WILLIAMS. This couple moved to LLANVEYNOE. I hope I
have the spelling correct there.
Anyway, that is a start, and I hope it helps a lttle bit.
Best regards,
Maureen Jenkins
Rhondda
S. Wales.
