Brent. Assuming you do not mean the Brent just over the old county boundary in Middlesex, you must mean the PELHAMS in the northeast of the County.
Find Bishops Stortford, and then look about 5 miles due north west. You will see, going south to north, Furneux Pelham, Stocking Pelham and then Brent Pelham. They are the full names although as a boy I remember my grandfather either referred to them all as THE PELHAMS or else called them merely, Stocking, Brent and Furneux, the latter he pronounced FER -NEXT. I do not know what people say today around there!
LANGLEY - Bury This is halfway between Codicote and Hitchin. Your map may show an Inn, a few cottages and a small Manor House to which the suffix -Bury amy refer.
