Well, I notice he's got "uk" in his e-mail address.
In any event, even a few minutes of Googling would have told him that
first cousin marriages are not illegal in Britain and that the rules of
consanguinity are given at numerous websites.
I'm afraid I am one of those people who firmly believe that before posing
a query on a mailing list, questioners should do their own homework first
and only ask questions when they've tried and failed to find the answer.
This, surely, is the essence of all good research, otherwise how will
beginners ever learn how to do it properly?
If, say for the sake of argument, I wanted to know who won the FA Cup in
1925 I wouldn't ask on a football mailing list when I can easily discover
the answer with Google. That's what it is for - a fantastic online virtual
library which should always be the first port of call.
