Hello Listers,
I have just subscribed for a short time to see if
anyone else is researching the above names. My connection is that my great
grandfather's [Obed Hammond] family appear to have visited Huntingdon at
least once around the mid - late 1800s, as my Aunt has a photograph taken by
Maddison Hinde in a studio with 'Huntingdon and St Ives' on the board
surround. The photo is of Susan, Deborah and Phillis Hammond, daughters of
James and Harriett, and sisters of Obed, all born in the 1840s. The family
were living at Swanmore in Hampshire before, during and after this photo was
taken. Could they have been visiting relatives? Any info re Hammond families
in Huntingdon that might connect or about the photographic studio gratefully
received. The women married into the Pink, Millard and Warren families, which
seem to be from Hampshire though this might be a connection to Huntingdon
also, and Annie herself was a Pink before marriage.
Please reply to my own e-mail address as I will probably leave the list
soon. Many thanks,
Regards,
Beth in Hampshire
