Hello Eve.

I have the 1841 census for Kent from Stepping Stones; parts of it are
excellent and parts illegible; whether this is due to the condition of the
original or variable quality in the
way it was copied I don't know.

With regard to the 1851, 1861 and 1871 census; as I understand it Stepping
Stones are taking forward orders for these but they will not be available
for some time

Regards
Robin

.

Dear List,

Many thanks to all those who have responded to my message re the above CD's.
A kind friend has loaned me the 1841 census. Initially I wanted to search
the Brasted area, but was so disappointed to find all the pages for that
area unreadable !! So I'm assuming the original is the same.

The web site I was looking at : www.stepping-stones.co.uk . The price was
for the full set of the above censuses plus £10.00 postage and packing.
Would be interested to know whether other members have purchased from this
organisation.

Thanks again
Eve
