Hi,

I have an ancestor, Elizabeth Mc Auslane / Areslan/ Auslan who reached Bolton circa 1807.

She was born in Dunbarton, Scotland and married James Ferguson also in that place.

Then they went to Bolton with their children. One of them was Fergus Ferguson, who became Major of Bolton.

I always wondered if other Mc Auslanes (and / or other spellings) from Dunbarton went to Bolton....

I think someone on the List is researching Calland. I found some today at
the library today.

Self Acter Minder.

20th June, 1894 Esther d. George and Sarah Calland, 10 Broach Street, Bolton
Minder.

10th May, 1899 Emily d. Geroge and Sarah Calland, 10 Broach Street, Bolton,
Spinner.

My gt. gt. grandmother Margaret Brindle was living at No. 4 Broach Street
when the above family lived there.
