Hi Marianne

If you go to http://www.lancashirebmd.org.uk/ or www.cheshirebmd.org.uk, there is a free search facility for births marriages and deaths, along with the application form for the certificate.

I had a quick look. Couldn't find any reference on either of them to a marriage to Horrocks but there were two James Murrays and Hannahs (Hargrave or Turner) married at St Pauls in Warrington during the search period I covered (the cheshire bmd). Have a look.

Linda

leigh-westleigh

Thanks Peter.
I am after James and Hannah, as one daughter Martha was born in Northwich,
Cheshire in about 1856. She married Samuel Horrocks and their daughter Ada
is with them on this census.
Now I can see what to look for. I want to get one of the birth certificates
to get Hannah's name.
