Hi,

I wonder if anyone could help me. I am looking for the birth registration
of James Smith born 23/1/1870 in Leigh. I want to send for the certificate,
but I have found three possible references on Free BMD. Is there anyway I can
find out which is the correct ref without spending £21 on certificates in
the hope that one will be the right one?
