Thank you Darren for your reply. I omitted to mention that I had tried
Rochdale office as well as Salford ( which was where John and Martha lived
at the time of the baptism ) with no luck. They probably did a few
"moonlight flits" judging by the movements in the Manchester area. John was
born in London, Middlesex from the census declaration but I haven't found
the baptism yet.
I don't know of a Margaret Bolton as yet ( apart from my sister that is )
but I will have another look in the light of what you have told me. Thanks
