Hello,

The only two Churches where Marriages could be solemnised were the Parish
Church, St Mary's Prestwich, and its Chapel, St Mary's, Oldham.

Outside the Parish St Chad's Rochdale.

For Christenings, All the above, plus St Paul's Royton ( from 1758 ), and St
Peter's Oldham ( from 1768 ).

If they were not necessarily Anglican, then it may be wise to check the
following, also listed under Middleton.

Wood St, New Jerusalem Chr/ Birth's from 1809 to 1838.

Manchester St ( Wesleyan ). Chr/Birth's from 1794 to 1837.

High St, St Stephens ( Lady Huntingdon's Connection - an early Methodist,
Independent or Congregationalist Church. ). Chr / Birth's 1824 to 1837. But
also a note that Misc Registers are 1809 - 1838 held at Middleton Library.

Information from National index of Parish Registers Volume 10 part 2,
produced by Society of Genealogists, compiled by Peter Park.
