Hi Listers,
I am chasing down my BUTTERWORTH ancestors from Ogden, Saddleworth,
Stalybridge and other places, including an association with Newtown in
Montgomershire, Wales.
Families include those of George Frederick BUTTERWORTH and Mary EDWARDS;
James Butterworth and Harriet SMITH; John Butterworth and Jane WHITEHEAD.
And more recently, the family of Richard Henry Butterworth and Mary Jane
WOOD, who moved to Australia around 1910-1914. Richard Hy was an employee of
the Wormalds Company.
Also had a Samuel Butterworth who moved to the USA.
