Thank you Margaret and Anthony for offering your help and thoughts.
Mary Hannah's parents were George HULLAND (HOLLAND)and Hannah RIDE (ROYDE.
She married James SHAW in 1901 after the census. Mary Hannah did not have a
sister named Jane.
Thank you again!
Rebecca

1901 census
James W Shaw, Head, Mar, M, 47, Oat Cake Baker, Yorks, Saddleworth
Jane Shaw, Wife, 47, Yorks, Saddleworth
+ children, all born Yorks, Saddleworth
Address (?) Gobourndsclough, Saddleworth St Chad, Upper Mill
Class: RG13; Piece: 4090; Folio: 6; Page: 4.
Death Ashton
Jane Gaskell, age 63
Sep qtr 1919 Vol 8d p441
I still cannot see a connection, unless Jane married again. The ages are
approximately right, there is no Jane Gaskell in the area in 1901.
Sorry not to be able to help,
Margaret
