James age was very difficult to read on account of poor writing and having
the summary stroke across it. I say this because of the parents ages and
also because he was noted as an 'ostler' which I would have thought 16 was
too young for that work. I may be wrong. An ostler was a person who looked
after horses. As horses were as common then as cars are now maybe he was an
ostler.
