Dear Lou and all:
Today, June 1, I received a packet of booklets and fiche that I ordered from
the LFHS. I immediately found a marriage that has eluded me for 40 years.
In Vol. 15 of the L. marriage index series for Holland East Deanery 1813-37,
I found that Mary WATTS married Enger GODBY ( Ainger Goodley) in 1813 in
Skirbeck. Of course his name is not spelled as I usually see it, and I've
seen lots of variations, but I am quite sure this is the man! Earlier in the
week I found him listed as Auger Goody in the Ohio census of 1850.
The date fits in with the birth of the first child in 1814.
Be happy to do lookups from this booklet.
Carol
