I'm new to the list and I'm hoping that someone can help me, or at
least point me in the right direction to find information on the following
family.
I'm seeking information on WILLIAM COTTIER CUBBIN, christened in 1867 at
St. Peter's in Liverpool and his brother, HARRY CUBBIN, who was also
christened at St. Peter's. They were the son's of THOMAS CUBBIN and CATHERINE
CAROLINE COTTIER, who were married in the parish church of Wallasey in
1866.They were living in Edge Hill ( would that be the West Derby area of
Liverpool?) when WILLIAM COTTIER CUBBIN was born . According to the marriage
certificate THOMAS CUBBIN, of Liscard, a widower, was the son of a JOHN
CUBBIN, a farmer, and CATHERINE CAROLINE COTTIER, of New Brighton, a
spinster,was the daughter of a WILLIAM COTTIER, a farmer.
CATHERINE CAROLINE COTTIER's father, WILLIAM COTTIER (who also had a son,
named WILLIAM) is the brother of my g-g-grandfather, CLAUDIUS
THOMAS COTTIER, born on the Isle of Man and who immigrated to the U.S. in the
mid-1800's. The family is originally from the Isle of Man. My
g-g-grandfather, the son of JOHN COTTIER/JANE MOORE, had four siblings,

WILLIAM(b.1811)
JOHN CHRISTIAN MOORE(b.1813),
GEORGE AUGUSTUS(b.1815),
CAROLINA CATHARINE (b.1820),who died in infancy at the age of 6 mos.
The only other information we have on WILLIAM COTTIER CUBBIN is what we
received from a couple of listings in a few trade directories.(below)

SLATERS DIRECTORY OF LIVERPOOL-1892
WILLIAM COTTIER CUBBIN, occupation-Greengrocer, Address-212 Kensington (
would Kensington be in the West Derby area of Liverpool?)

KELLYS DIRECTORY OF LIVERPOOL-1895
WILLIAM COTTIER CUBBIN,occupation-Fruiterer, Address 212 Kensington. (
Would there be 1891 census information available to check the addresses
above?)

I would be grateful for any help or information anyone could supply on the
family.
