Subject: [LIV] newspaper report of funeral

Dear List,
I am wondering where I might get a copy of a funeral report. Not sure
exactly when but would be between 1876 probably and 1881. My Grandfather
remembered reading it and he was born in 1867. He wrote about it but
didn't put the date. It is for Thomas DODD and he was buried in the St
James Mount Cemetery, Liverpool. Not many clues but Thomas's wife was a
widow by the 1881 census. The report in the "Daily Post" said that
the church choir sang 'Safe in the Arms of Jesus' at the graveside. I
have never heard of the Daily Post, but Iam sure someone else has.

Would the Lancashire Record Office have something like that and would
they search and send it to me for a fee. I have had search at the
Cheshire record Office and so am familiar with that system. I have seen
discussions on this list about whether they take credit car payments or
not. Now I need to know I can't remember of course, so that info.
would be handy as well. I am working on this from New Zealand. thanks
Joan Dodd
