Dear Listers,
One of the families of my research are LIDBETTER.
I have in my possession a letter from what would appear to be a teenage girl
(as she lists her birthday presents and expects to get work soon) to her
Uncle Wybourn LIDBETTER in Sydney Australia. It is dated 12th 1880 (no
month)and the inside address appears to be Hatherley St. Lececombe (or it
could start with an S) W Liverpool (could be Nr).
Now I am presuming she is still living with family at this stage.
I also presume they are spelling there name LIDBETTER - a different spelling
not considered till today when I found the same family in the 1881 census in
London spelling their name LEADBETTER although all certificates before and
after for the same people are LIDBETTER.
How will I go about finding YEL and her family? Any suggestions welcome.
