Hi Wendy and all,

Wendy asked,
could you give me a brief run down on what this book is about. I've
missed the
> first parts of this message thread.?

The autor states" To get the most out of the book think of it as 3
books in one.
An Edwardian A - Z
Directory of Shops & businesses in 1909
An Index for the directory"
The book consists of extractions from Kelly's Directory of 1908.
He has omitted all non trade entries. and has chosen 57 designated
roads, there are separate maps, lists of streets and names and
property addresses for tradespeople living within these designated
streets. He has also included some old photographs, some ariel which
are very useful. I think it was well worth it for the curiosity value
and am waiting patiently for the south end of Liverpool to be
produced.
Kind regards
Marg.
