Subject: [ENG-LIV] soldiers in Liverpool 1800-1801

I have now printed off the list of Liverpool churches which Barbara
Humphreys provided to the L&SWLFHS website, but I am still all at sea over
finding the most likely one for my ancestors.
it seems likely that John VIGGOR married Jane ? in Liverpool whilst in the
Montgomeryshire Militia, which passed thru the city on its way to
Whitehaven, where their son (also John) was christened in 1801.
So I am wondering if any other listers have militia or army ancestors who
married in Liverpool around these dates, and know which church was used.
Alternatively, does anyone know where the main garrison was at this time?
