Hi Listers,

First, thanks to everyone who replied to my query about David Griffith-Jones
and suicides.

However I was told my gr grandfather committed suicide so I went out on a
hunch and got this cert I had the ref for a David Griffith-Jones.
It was in fact my Nan's brother , a great Uncle, not my gt grandfather, but
the information I got from the obituary and the information from the
inquest gave me more information than I ever dreamed off. This David
committed suicide as he had just come out of prison for assaulting his
daughter, so that lead me to the newspaper article for the court case. I
know have prison records to look at.
The obituary also gave me all his siblings, so I found about 9 others and
compared the names to records I'd got
from Electoral registers and they matched. I know need to work on these
people a bit more... but what a treasure of information and although he
wasn't my
grandfather that I am still looking for it gave me so much more.

Here is a transcript of names of people who went to his funeral, at
Flaybrick Cemetery, Birkenhead. I would probably guess that most of the
people where from Birkenhead, some around Camden St area and Aspendale Road,
Tranmere.
