Hi Sheryl,
Lance B= Lance Bombadier, in the Royal Artilley, (equivalent to Lance
Corporal).
There is/was a barracks in Rose Lane which could have been used by the
Artillery.
Bligh street is still there in Wavertree, a short tram ride away ( the
number 8 along Smithdown Road/ Allerton Road, get off at the Plaza Cinema)
