Perhaps a local Liverpudlian can correct me if I am wrong, but Cranes
must have moved to Hanover Street, just at the top of Church Street.
I have the vague feeling they were there when I was last in Liverpool
a few years ago. They might even be still there. Presumably they
would be in online Yellow Pages. I don't know about the Seacombe end,
but I am pretty sure they were well-established in Hanover street,
until at least the 1990s, and maybe even today.

I am trying to find out about a firm of musical instrument dealers
called
CRANE and Sons who operated in Church Street, Liverpool and at 48,
Brighton
St, Seacombe in the early years of the 20th century. Does anyone have
