Hello List,
I have been having trouble finding information on my great-uncle, Arthur Sankey. He was baptised in Stony Stanton, Leics in 1845 by his father, the rector, and died in Eastbourne 1922. He occasionally played cricket for Leicestershire, scoring 70 against the Australians on their first tour of England in 1878. He was a member of the Liverpool Stock Exchange and supposed to be living in Rock Ferry around 1880. I have found no confirmation of this - he seems to have avoided the 1881 and 1901 censuses. Can anyone help me please?
Greetings to all,
Charles Sankey, Johannesburg
