Dear all,
When I used to work in Liverpool, I believe that Crane's was on the corner
of Hanover St. and School Lane. School Lane runs parallel to Church St. from
Hanover St. down to Paradise St. The entrance to Bluecoat Chambers is also
on School Lane.
What I don't know is whether Crane's is still there.

You are right, Cecilia, and Cranes (or a shop just like it) was still there
earlier this year when I went to Liverpool. Still has the Theatre there
too, although it's called the Neptune Theatre now. Think it's still
running.
Still selling pianos, other musical instruments and guitars.
