I can speak from personal experience in saying that I have come across both instances where the 'one name study' submitter has shown their e-mail address beside the entry, and also where the reverse is true. In the latter case, I have been successful in finding such people by posting messages to 'one name' websites which relate to the name in question, and - if lucky enough - the 'guru' has contacted me later. I often find such people to be very willing to share their knowledge with interested parties.
