Subject: [ENG-LIV] Indexers to 1891 Census, SWINSCOE or SWINSCOW
Date: Fri, 1 Nov 2002 11:42:13 -0000
Hello List,
This is a request to see if any of the volunteer indexers to the 1891
Liverpool census, have come across the surname SWINSCOE or SWINSCOW, and can
give me the reference to look up myself. In 1881 there was a family but not
including people I am after, living at Arundel Street. From early 1890s
Arundel Street figures many times in our family history, for other
surnames.
I was optimistic and stupid enough to buy the census without an index, so
far all I have found is those for whom already had an address, and eye
strain has stopped me searching further. How the indexers copy with the
indexing, I do not know.
Especially I am interested in WILLIAM EDWARD SWINSCOE and his wife ELIZABETH
(she a sister of one of my grandmothers), and their children onwards. I
have been in touch with a New Zealand person interested in this surname.
Within next two or three weeks will probably be changing ISP but following
good until then:
Now I shall sit back and await replies rolling in!
Jo. Shropshire UK.
