I am so excited that I just wanted to share with you that I believe I have finally found my grandfather ---the always missing Alexander Roach who married Elizabeth McKeown in Liverpool in 1884.
He was Baptised in Plymstock Devon in 1856,parents James Roach, mariner and Ann Oats.
He had a sister Lavinia who didn't marry and stayed in Devon.
His sister Elizabeth married in Liverpool in 1889 to William Kennard a widower also from Devon.
His older brother James married firstly --I think a Jane Owens in 1866 Liverpool.
He later married widow Elizabeth Bailey nee Goodwin---who happened to be Elizabeth McKeown's Aunt!!!
I have found them on the 1901 census too.So, am really pleased!!!

I still can't find Michael and Jane Carlin nee Goodwin---she was b Liverpool 1850. He was a stoker.
Also missing in 1901 are Edward and Maria/Mary Hagan nee Goodwin. She was b 1852 Liverpool and he was a mariner.
So, if anyone can help locate them in 1901, I would be very grateful. They lived mostly around Kirkdale area.

Dorothy---the one in nice and sunny Florida
