Lesley, can't find anyone on 1901 census; the nearest is a Henry
Calligan, born Ireland in Liverpool as a dock labourer, aged 30; There
is also a Wm CALLANON born Ireland , 32, at Ince in Makefield, Lancs;
but if it helps there is a WILLIAM CALLIGAN, aged 20 in Franklin Street
Salford in 1891 with parents John and Alice and siblings John and
Alice. William and his father both work in the dyeing trade, but they
are both born Salford.
