My thanks to Pauline and all other SKS's who looked for James & Alice
(Sherlock) WARING in Eldon Street in the 1861.
The couple gave Eldon Street as their residence when they married in
Liverpool St Nicholas in 1855, as did Alice's brother Joseph SHERLOCK when
he married in the same church four years later.
But both SHERLOCK's were in fact born in Arrowe (Wirral) and in the 1871
Census James & Alice were living in Greasby (also Wirral). So the likelihood
is that both couples used Eldon Street, Liverpool purely as an accommodation
address for marriage purposes.
Thank you again, and best wishes.
Gordon
