My mother d.o.b 1902, d.o.m 1930 had all her teeth removed the day before she was married. I believe her dentures were fitted immediately so that her gums moulded to them.
I dread to think what her honeymoon was like!

I don't quite understand why some get so upset by 'off topic' items (ref comments by some on my perambulations around Penny Lane several weeks back - but others made appreciative comment for which I thank them).
But this probably qualifies as OT, if not even OTT - while on the subject of my mother's teeth, or more correctly, lack of them, I have to tell you that it was because of them that at a tender age I first heard the F... word.
And perhaps here I am risking the ire of some because the incident happened in S London, not Liverpool, and so should perhaps be on another list. But what the hell!

My mother was in the kitchen cooking tea when she sneezed. Her dentures flew out of her mouth and went under the gas stove. It was then I heard that word !!!!!

Regards to all
