William, He may have just moved a lot. Many of my Liverpool ancestors moved
with great frequency often to the same street or in the same area. While I
don't suggest that your William did the same thing, I suspect that some of
mine did a "midnight flit". Most people in that era rented and did not own
their lodgings.
