My research names are, Volp,Lynch,O'Toole just to name a few that are direct relatives,but I have many more which are related by marriage.I have just received my parents marriage lines and it shows my Mothers age as sixteen. Good luck with your research for Powell,which is a common surname in Wales,but I'm sure you will find them eventually.

I am a subscriber to the Liverpool-rootsweb newsgroup and saw you message that mentioned Kirkdale.
My Great grandfather was from Kirkdale, they lived in Fountains Road and Pugin Streets in Kirkdale and were married at St.Marys Kirkdale . Its a bit difficult to read the street names on the marriage certificate, but I think I have them right (Fountains and Pugin).
My father and grandfather were born in Everton, (they lived in Priory Grove - before it was bombed!) I am researching the name POWELL. What names are you researching?

Liz davis, Kirkdale is definitely L5,I was born in Aspinall Street which was opposite the Grovenor cinema.As a child I remember the old Rotunda Theatre which was at the town end of Stanley Rd and the beginning of Scotland Rd.
