Jack, hi. the james on the 1900 UNITED STATES Census is 36 according to
them,
but i dont really know whether he is the JAMES NEWCOMER? or JAMES NEWCOMBE,
all i know is that FANNY HEWIT went to USA in 1886 age 22 and i believe that
she might
have married someone by that name in IDAHO, but ive no idea whether this is
the chap.
they both worked in the cotton mills, both lived in the same part of
LANCASHIRE and both emigrated, she in 1886 and he a year later. so i was
hoping that if someone could check the
1891 census and tell me whether he was still in the UK at that time, at
least it would give me
a start. if he wasnt then it was a step nearer.

TED.
