Hi
I am new to research in your area most of my searches have been in Cornwall and Devon
I have found a marriage of a Thomas Fawkner to Annie Grundy on free bdm. in Manchester .Dec 1876
Would any one have the 1871 Census for Manchester [I am sorry I do not have where in Manchester] could you look up these people or tell me where I could search on the web
Thomas Jennings Fawkner b Clovelly Devon 1841 father Matthew mother Elizabeth
Married an Annie so this is the only likely one.
He was either a sea man at that time or was working as a deep sea diver.
How I found his first wife's name is an entry into Boston on the "China" 7 Oct 1876 with daughter Lilly and Inf Margaret.
He worked in Boston as a diver and came to Sydney Australia in 1879
Trish in Sydney
