Hi there Mike,

Thanks for checking for me for Thomas Swain. I don't have his birth cert or
baptism. This is my problem.
I have his marr cert. 30 April 1876 says he is 22 years father Thomas Swain
- Porter.
residing at 42 Queens Cres. in the county of Middlesex. Born approx 1854

on 1881 census he has his age at 27 - birthplace Salford Lancashire
Census place is Hanswell Midlesex
Dwelling St Mks Rd Tolson Villa Born approx 1854

I also have a railway document from Western Australia Dated Oct 1885 he
states his birth at 28 years 9 months Born approx
1857 (Feb) ??

2nd Marr cert he says he is 57 on 14 Dec 1916 Born approx 1859??

I also have his death cert it dated 20 July 1930 aged 69 Born approx 1861
??

Take your pick.

I did find a Thomas Swain marriage to Ellen Douglas Thomas in Hudderfild
vol 7a page 362
and Ellen Leicster vol 7a page 436 ??? Nothing seems to match - I don't
know if these two are his parents. I also found another marriage between a
Thomas Swain Manchester vol 8d page 183 and Ellen Douglas Manchester vol 8d
page 270 ??? Once again I don't know if these two are his parents.

Any more suggestions.
I thought if I could find his parents maybe that will help.
