Can anyone help please.I am trying to get information on one Duncan McRae.He
was known as the father of Bootle Police.He died in 1890 aged 98 making his
birth year 1792.
He was believed born either Isle of Lewis or Peterhead,it is thought he
married a Jane Howarth in Chorley around 1848.
I have done all the usual checks & come up blank,so please no matter how
tenues a clue some one somewhere must be able to point me in the right
direction,even the Chief Constable of Lpool has refused to anser my snail mail.To anyone
who thinks they can help may I extend my greatest thanks in anticpation.
