Hi Walter et al

As the Shropshire records are all on IGI I had a quick look here for the one
you mention Walter.

IGI shows under Batch Number P015754

Father John JONES Mother Lydia all bap St Chads

John 19 Oct 1823
Lydia 9 Oct 1825
William 20 Oct 1824
William b 22/11/1828
Thomas b 21 July 1831

A further search shows

John JONES and Lydia KENT marrying St Chads 26 Jan 1818

There is a Lydia KENT born 25 Nov 1799, bap St Chads 29 Dec 1799
Parents John Kent and Sarah

There are ten children born to this couple;

If you go to IGI and put in parents names and surname in surname box (leave
first name blank) then choose British Isles and in Batch Number put in

P015753

You will find them all.

There is a:

John JONES born 21 June 1795, bap 26 July 1795 St Chads
Parents William and Sarah

John JONES bap 9 Aug 1781 parents William and Ann

There are numerous John JONES born around this time I have only picked out
these two as possible given that John tried twice to name a son William so
maybe his father was William, there are too many to list with father's named
John.

I hope this helps, but you will need to ensure that this is your family as
it is all based on the premise of the 22 Nov 1828 baptism.

Best wishes Pam

Hi Walter/Pam/Leon

The 1841 Census indicates that Bicton/Bicton Heath was in fact in the parish
of Shrewsbury St Chad, which might perhaps narrow down the search for a
baptism somewhat?

Regards
Gordon
