Thank you, Marj, for the information regarding the people who played
in "South Pacific" in Liverpool. The only name I ever retained from
the show was Mary Martin (real-life mother of J.R.Ewing), but I
think she played in the show when it was performed in London.
I wrote to Mary Martin at the time, and received a photograph,
which meant a lot to a starstruck teenager. The show lasted a long
time, and Miss Martin must have 'washed that man right out of her
hair' thousands of times.
