Hi Nikki:
I'm interested in your Surname BELL. My Grt.Grt. Grandfather
was Benjamine HARRISON, and his wife's name was Ann BELL.
Benjamine's son, Robert HARRISON married Ann DUGGLEBY
from Bishop Wilton. Some of Roberts siblings were born in
Bossall, North Yorkshire, and is my Grt.Grandfather.
This HARRISON family moved around from Bossall,North
Yorkshire; to Elvington East Yorkshire (just south-west from
Pocklington). Robert & Ann settled in Barmby Moor, just about
5 miles from Pocklington.
Benjamine & Ann lived in Bossall, North Yorkshire on the 1841
Census, and this is where I found my Grt.Grandfather Robert at
age 9. I do not know if you are that far back yet, but if there is
a possible connection, please contact me....otherwise please
keep this message on file, just in case.
Many thanks,
Bill HARRISON,
Ontario, Canada.

> Does anyone have access to the 1871 census? I'm looking for a Henry Bell,
possibly born around 1848, in a place called Bishop Wilton (might then have
been called just Wilton), which is a few miles from Pocklington, East
Riding, and possibly with "Cliff" in the address. My great grandfather,
Charles Bell, was born that year and I'm having difficulty tracing his birth
certificate. I've got a likely family with father Henry and mother Sarah,
born around 1849, and Charles, whose place of birth was given as "Winton
Cliffe" (doesn't exist), could have been their first child. Any help greatly
appreciated.
