The minimum age of marriage in England, Wales & Scotland with parents
consent was 12 for a girl & 14 for a boy until it was raised to 16 in 1929.
In Ireland this was not raised to 16 until 1975.

So yes it is very possible for a 14 year old to marry in 1798.
