Hello Patsy,
I have lots of Hardy links in the Richmond area. I have a tree on
ancestry.co.uk that lists the hardy line:
http://trees.ancestry.co.uk/pt/pedigree.aspx?tid=482098

Im not sure if i have any HARDY's in the Eppleby area, but theyre bound to
be related in some sort of way being so close. In my tree on the same side
as my HARDY's i have a few people with the surname CAUDWELL/CAULDWELL or
similar, which were from the area your HARDY's are.

Unfortunately my grandmother Florence Margaret HARDY (her maiden name)
passed away last month. She was still living in Bedale :-)

I hope we can find a link somewhere!
Kind regards
Laura Broughton
