Subject: [ENG-NORTH-YORKS] CARTWRIGHT of Harrogate as well!
Date: Tue, 24 Apr 2007 03:25:55 EDT
Dear Listers,
I have John CARTWRIGHT (1813 - 1860), a famous jockey in his day, and his
brother William CARTWRIGHT (1814 - 1888), a publican at Catterick. They were
both born at Harrogate, the sons of a John CARTWRIGHT of whom I know nothing
except that he was a farmer. If anyone else knows of this family, I would be
very grateful for any information.
Yours, etc.
Geoffrey Woollard in Cambridgeshire.
