An area which includes Malton, as you say - JANE HUGILL married HENRY ALLERSTON in Hovingham (near Malton) in 1845.
Jane was born in Old Malton in 1825 - they had 9 children including William Allerston (b1852, Swinton) my GG-Grandfather ....
HULGILL / ALLERSTON enquiries welcome ....
Seems I have another FHS to join !!

Subject: Re: [ENG-NORTH-YORKS] HUGILL FAMILY
Hello all,
Some members of the Ryedale Family History Group have connections to the
HUGILL families and some others mentioned in Kirkby Moorside, Bilsdale and
surrounding areas. The full list of surnames being researched is on
http://www.ryedalefamilyhistory.org
I know a lot of people don't know where Ryedale is. This is an area in the
North Riding of Yorkshire, including the market towns of Helmsley,
Kirkbymoorside, Pickering and Malton, and many parishes, villages and
hamlets in between - and some beyond - these towns.
