Hello,

I've just updated my web-site with rather a lot of information about the
BARNARD family of Combs and Stowmarket. Unfortunately the relevant page -
http://www.fullerfamilyhistory.org.uk/FFH_FT_Members_003.htm - is rather
large (317KB). (When I wrote the page creation program, I wasn't expecting
to work with such a prolific family. As soon as I get a chance I'll find a
way to split the pages up - the tricky part is sorting out the hyperlinks.)

Here's a summary of the status:
- Period covered: 1690-1850.
- Number of individuals: 269 out of the 661 I'm currently tracking.
- Next step: Find as many people as possible on the 1861 census.

Problems I haven't yet solved:
1. I haven't found a baptism (c.1763) for the John Barnard who married Mary
Smith and Sarah Button, from whom most of the people baptised at Combs are
descended.
2. There are 4 Samuel Barnards in Stowmarket/Stowupland in the early 1800's:
- Samuel married Elizabeth Smith 21/11/1778;
- Samuel married Sarah Smith 26/02/1797;
- Samuel married Sarah Dixon 18/10/1798;
- Samuel married Sarah Leathers 03/11/1815.
I don't know who's who.
3. One or two families attended Stowmarket Baptist church between 1837 and
1851 (Benjamin + Hannah, possibly Charles + Mary Ann) and I guess the
records are still with the church.
4. James Barnard married Elizabeth Wistler/Whistle on 17/11/1795 at
Stowmarket. Are they the couple who were in Ipswich St. Clement in 1820, and
in Ipswich in 1841 and 1851?
5. Henry Barnard (born c.1800 at Stowmarket) probably had a sister Ann
Barnard who married George Frederick Barnard (son of John and Martha) on
05/01/1824. Who were their parents?
6. Who were the parents of the Edmund Barnard who married Catherine Welham
on 26/11/1787?

Any corrections or further information will be greatly appreciated.
