> Hello Everyone - Sorry I don't add much to the group but I am still here. If any of you have, or have read, Russell Edwards' "The Suffolk Coast" I just wanted to tell you to note the picture on page three, of Braham Hall at Cattawade. This beautiful home/farmlands has been in my family since the early 1900's, belonging first to my grandfather, Leonard Daniel Pattle, and then to his son, my uncle, Temple Andrews Pattle. My Dad, Horace Leonard Pattle, chose to go to college instead of farming. My cousin, Margaret Stone, is the present owner of Braham Hall, and I presume it will go to one of her sons, Christopher or Robert.

> Braham Hall is supposedly haunted by Fred Page who allegedly murdered Fanny Clarke (24), a domestic servant at Church House Farm in Brantham. My Grandmother used to hear sounds in the night and she'd sit up in bed and say, "It's all right, Fred, it's all right." Also, I've been told that once a year, a coach and horses is heard to drive up to the front door. I went upstairs there once, to the bathroom, and I felt such a cold 'presence' that I dashed back downstairs and went to the other bathroom (which was reached by going outside and round to the side and back indoors...strange way to arrange it). I had such good times at Braham Hall, too many to recount here. We camped there in the fields during the war; I used to ride the carthorses; watched the horses being shod; went for rides in the horse-and-trap. I do ramble. That's all for now. All I intended to do was to mention Russell Edwards' book and Braham Hall!
