Hello,
does anyone have any information on the collieries in Sheffield c late
nineteenth centuryi.e Nunnery colliery and or Tinsley Park colliery. For example how
many seams were worked in the area and at what depths were these ( I have read
that coal was quite close to the surface in S.Yorks coalfield!?How may shafts
were there at each colliery, number of surface workers and miners etc.
I would be very greatful for any information
Thanks,
Ron
