A few weeks ago a Gordon Neal enquired about the WIGLEY family. My sister-in-law was a Wigley. I contacted her re the email but unfortunately her computer crashed and she has had to buy a new one, hence the delay.
Below are the details.

Glad you got my message about card.
I will try again with what I know. My Father, Thomas Wigley, born Sheffield 1898, died 1984. Henry his eldest Brother could have been the Henry in question. Could have been born in 1891. I never knew their Father or Mother`s christian names as their Mother was Irish (nee McNiff), died when my Father was 4 yrs old. His Father died when he was 10yrs old. Thomas had 3 other Brothers, Jim, Horace, & Edward, not necessarily in that order. Also a Sister, I don`t know her name, who died in a house fire. Horace & Edward both died during the 1914 to 1918 war. Horace was in India in the Army & Edward was blown up on the Queen Mary in the battle of Jutland. Thomas was in the navy & Jim was in the Army. Both survived the war. Henry was never in the forces. He died after an operation for a duodenal ulcer, before 1950 but I am not sure of the year. He married Nellie & they had a daughter Doris & a Son Jack. I can go on from there if anyone wishes to know more. Thomas was Cath!
olic & I presume that Henry might have been if they all had the same Mother.?
