A question (and kind answer to a posting) here today raises a question I hope
that someone can answer.
I have numerous documents, copied at a PRO in the U.K. that contain what I
call "Latinized English."
The question: Does anyone know of a reference book that I can use to help in
the translation of these references, most cited by 19th centure
historian-genealogists and not "translated." The Latin is not, of course, pure
Latin but, rather, a mixture of English, Norman French and Latin.
A lating to English dictionary does not help much. Besides my four years of
Latin were Latin I, Latin I, Latin II and Latin II :-)
Rick
